Experiential & Wayfinding Designer
INTERESTED TO APPLY?
The role
We are looking for an Experiential & Wayfinding Designer to join our Dubai studio.
This role requires a creative designer who understands the relationship between people, information and physical space. You will contribute to experience-led projects, developing concepts and design solutions that help people understand, navigate and interact with complex environments.
We are looking for someone who thinks critically, observes how people use places and can translate that understanding into effective design. You should be comfortable moving between research, conceptual thinking, graphic communication and practical design development.
The ability to explain your ideas, work collaboratively and recognise how design decisions affect the wider built environment is essential.
Key responsibilities
- Research and analyse user journeys, spatial conditions and human behaviour to inform design decisions.
- Contribute to experience strategies and develop concepts for Wayfinding & Navigation and wider built environment experience projects.
- Explore spatial planning, information hierarchy, landmarks, environmental cues and identity as part of the user experience.
- Develop environmental graphics, physical signage systems and related design elements.
- Translate design thinking into concepts, presentations, diagrams, location plans, messaging systems, drawings and 3D models.
- Collaborate with architects, interior designers, engineers and other project disciplines to integrate design requirements into the built environment.
- Develop ideas with consideration for scale, materials, spatial relationships, technical feasibility and project delivery.
- Contribute to design reviews, respond to feedback and refine solutions as projects develop.
- Manage assigned responsibilities, communicate progress and maintain a consistent standard of design quality.
- Explore relevant design tools and technologies where they offer practical value to the project.
Requirements
- A relevant degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Architecture, Interior Design or a related discipline.
- Approximately 2–3 years of relevant experience in Wayfinding & Navigation, experiential design, environmental graphics or complex built environment projects.
- Strong conceptual, spatial and graphic design skills.
- An understanding of how people interpret information, make decisions and move through physical environments.
- Good typographic judgement, information hierarchy skills and attention to graphic detail.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, together with SketchUp or other relevant 3D modelling software.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly through presentations, diagrams, drawings and visual studies.
- Strong critical thinking, curiosity and a willingness to question assumptions and develop ideas through feedback.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and take responsibility for the quality and progress of assigned work.
- A portfolio demonstrating conceptual development, design thinking, spatial understanding and individual contributions to completed or developing projects.
What we offer
- A full-time position within our Dubai studio.
- A competitive salary and benefits package.
- Visa and health insurance coverage.
- A flight ticket to your home country.
- Opportunities to work across international projects, sectors and design disciplines.
- Professional development through exposure to different project stages and collaboration with experienced specialists.
