BULGARI RESORT & RESIDENCES
When the historic Italian brand approached LIMAH with the task of finding wayfinding solutions for its newest development, LIMAH decided it deserved an entire experience design.
Opened in 2017, Bulgari Resorts and Residences sits on its very own sea-horse shaped island of six million square feet, just off the coast of Dubai.
Designed by the Italian architectural firm Anotino Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners, the project consists of 15 mansions, 168 apartments, 6 penthouses, a marina, and the 200 suites hotel.
CHALLENGE
The seamless integration of various components of the project including the resort, the residences and the marina was one of the challenges that the team faced.
OUTCOME
Rather than designing each component separately, LIMAH created an entire seamless user experience, from check-in to valet, to dining and to living which improved the overall wayfinding.

RE-IMAGNING A HISTORIC BRAND
Almost the definition of luxury, the 130 year old brand is well reflected in the development, as it is designed for those seeking nothing but lavish comfort and style.
Integration of the historic brand into the modern middle-eastern landscape for the first time was certainly a challenge that LIMAH had to overcome. However, this was resolved by considering the entire journey as a whole.
TURNING WAYFINGING INTO AN ENTIRE EXPERIENCE
When approached with the task of designing the wayfinding strategy for this hospitality development, LIMAH thought it deserved a complete experiential design. The project required exclusive work and thereby the development of its own customer experience and wayfinding strategy naturally followed.
The team completed strategies including the exterior, interior and car park of the 1.7 million square foot complex.
A view of the marina.
Interior directional signage.
Multi-lingual signage was one of the strategies utilised by the team.
Night view of the main entrance.
All product and signage design was integrated into the lush architecture of the buildings seamlessly in order to contribute to the overall visual appeal.
